Box Score 4 John Carroll shook off a tough and slow start to win its last three matches and post a winning record in its annual trip to Florida.
The Blue Streaks lost to Division II Lee University (7-2) and Division I Creighton (6-1) on the first day, but then came back to beat Division II Minnesota State Mankato (8-1), NAIA school Ave Maria (9-0) and Division I Norfolk State (4-2) on the last two days.

Against Lee, JCU grabbed one point in doubles with
Lauren O'Malley and
Madisyn Rini winning 8-3 at the #1 spot, while
Natalie Bourlas won 6-1 6-2 at #6 singles.
Creighton was denied a sweep by Allyssa Krupp, who pulled off an incredible 19-17 third set tiebreaker win at #5 singles.
John Carroll dominated Minnesota State as all three doubles teams won well-contested matches, and then the top five singles players also won.
The Blue Streaks then pitched a shutout with a 9-0 win over Ave Maria, and then pulled off an impressive win over Norfolk State. John Carroll earned the doubles point thanks to wins by O'Malley and Rini at #1 and Krupp and
Skye Harwood at #3.
In singles play, O'Malley won a three-setter at #1 singles, and now has 64 career singles wins -- second all-time at JCU. Also winning in singles were Krupp and
Natalie Bourlas at #5 and #6, respectively.
John Carroll is now 6-3 on the season.
