JCU Clinches Share Of OAC Title With Sweep Over Otterbein

| By:
Box Score The reigining OAC Champions clinched at least a share of the title once again with a sweep over Otterbein University.

For JCU they started off the weekend defeating the only other unbeaten team in the conference in Mount Union.

John Carroll followed that performance up by winning all nine matches against the Cardinals.

Sophomore Gusatvo Garcia won both his singles and doubles match. Garcia won 6-4, 6-4 in his singles match, paired with Dillon O'Brien to win their doubles match 8-5.

In the third seeded match, Andy Siciliano won both sets by a score of 6-0, 6-0.

Adi Jha dropped the first set 3-6, but bounced back winning the second set 6-1, and ultimately winning the match in the next set 1-0.

The Blue Streaks have now won seven straight matches. JCU will travel to Carnegie Mellon on Sunday.

Next Saturday, John Carroll will face off against Marietta College for a chance to sweep through the OAC and win the conference title outright in back-to-back seasons.
