While the John Carroll men's tennis team has won four consecutive Ohio Athletic Conference championships, a good number of the players who contributed to the impressive run have moved on.
The few that remain were joined by some fresh faces for some early season tournaments held at Kenyon (September 8) and Oberlin (September 15-16).

At Kenyon, it was a doubles tournament in which the top performing duo of
Andy Siciliano and
David Sinense were 2-1 in the "C" flight. The JCu tandem reached the "C" flight championship match but fell to a team from nationally ranked Case Western Reserve University.
Also winning a match in the "E" flight was the pair of
Jack Payne and
Doug Moore.
In the Oberlin Invitational, Sinense and Siciliano were again successful, posting a 2-0 record in their two matches.
Andrew Triner and
Sean Padden, as well as Payne and Moore, also claimed a victory in doubles play.
On the singles side, JCU collected eleven victories in 23 matches. The top record were turned in by
Adi Jha, Moore and Payne, all of whom went 2-1.
JCU is scheduled to host Lawrence Tech, an NAIA school from Michigan, on October 3.
