John Carroll University suffered consecutive defeats to No. 21 Muskingum University and No. 22 Wittenberg University.
The Blue Streaks fell in three straight sets (25-16, 25-20, 25-18) to the Fighting Muskies in New Concord, Ohio, in the first of Saturday's double header. With the loss, JCU drops its first mark in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play.

Cassi Calamunci and
Brooke Hjerpe led the visiting Blue Streaks with eight kills each. Calabrese and Hjerpe each added an ace to accompany the team leading two aces from
Ally Bartolone.
Wittenberg won three consecutive sets to defeat the Blue Streaks after JCU took the first set, 25-21.
Calabrese, Calamunci and Hjerpe were kills leaders for the Blue Streaks again, this time each grabbing 10 in the match. Calamunci added two aces, three blocks and 20 digs to boot.
John Carroll now stands at 15-5 overall (0-1, OAC) ahead of back-to-back OAC meeting with the University of Mount Union and Capital University.
