John Carroll looked to pick up their second Ohio Athletic Conference victory of the year in as many matches tonight at Muskingum.

Not only did the Blue Streaks get the win, but they also got the shutout in blanking the host Fighting Muskies, 43-0.

It is John Carroll's first shutout since blanking both Adrian and Lourdes on the same day as part of the JCU Duals on November 13, 2016.

The Blue Streaks got off to a good start when Kyle Murray was able to defeat his opponent 11-2 for a major decision victory.  Right after that, Max Turner squeezed out a tight 6-5 decision. Then a Jarrod Brezovec win by way of forfeit gave the Blue Streaks a comfortable 13-0 lead.

Patrick McGraw continued the scoring for John Carroll, shutting out his opponent 13-0.  After that, Danny Novak absolutely dominated his way to a tech fall. Novak got a takedown early in the first, and it took him less than two minutes to turn that into a 16-0 victory.  This gave John Carroll a commanding 22-0 lead.

Luke Reicosky officially locked up the Blue Streak victory in the 165 pound bout when he pinned his opponent after a minute into the match.  This gave the Blue Streaks a 28-0 lead with four matches left, clinching the victory for the night.

Christian DeDi kept the scoring going for the Blue Streaks by winning his match with a major decision.  Right after DeDi was able to win, Whitis kept his great season going by winning 18-1 for a tech fall. This bumped the score to a 37-0 margin.

Matt Ferraro was able to fight his way to a 6-2 victory in the 197 pound match.  Adding the icing on the cake in the heavyweight match, Josh Stasek defeated his opponent 6-3, giving the Blue Streaks a 43-0 team score.

After this victory tonight, John Carroll moves to 8-2 on the year and 2-0 in conference play. 

The Blue Streaks will head to Rochester, NY this Saturday for the RIT Invitational.
