Jarrad Lasko Places Sixth In The Nation At 149 Pounds To Cap Stellar Career

Jarrad Lasko went 3-3 for the weekend and finished in sixth place in the 149-pound weight class to earn All-American accolades for the Blue Streaks.

The John Carroll senior finished his career with 104 wins (7th most all-time at JCU) and ended this season with 34 victories (tied for 4th most for a single season in program history).

Lasko is the 106th All-American in the storied history of John Carroll wrestling, and the first since Dan Mirman placed third in the nation in 2016.

In his second day of competition, Lasko began with a 12-4 major decision over Ryan Snow of Brockport State. He followed that match with a loss to the #5 seed Brett Kaliner of Stevens Institute of Technology in the consolation semifinals, then dropped a 4-2 decision to #2 seed Zachary Cooper of Alma in the fifth-place match.

Lasko scored 8.5 team points for the weekend, which was part of John Carroll's 11 team points overall. JCU finished tied for 30th out of 74 teams with NYU in the final team standings.
