John Carroll was efficient in its trip to Meadville Saturday.
The Blue Streaks swept both Allegheny and Pitt-Greensburg to remain perfect on Saturdays this season, and to up its overall record to 12-3.
Against host Allegheny, the key was winning a tightly contested second game, holding off a late Gators rally to end up on top, 26-24.
The Blue Streaks closed out the third game, 25-18.Â
JCU had a solid .240 hitting percentage, led by
Cassi Calamunci, who had 13 kills and a .312 hitting percentage.
Brooke Hjerpe had kills and no errors for a .381 hitting percentage.
Ally Bartolone had 28 assists.
Against Pitt-Greensburg, the Blue Streaks were operating in an even more efficient mode, winning 25-17, 25-16, 25-17.
As a team, the Blue Streaks had just seven errors for the match and hit .286.
