JCU Men's Tennis Fares Well in First Two Tournaments of the Year

The John Carroll Men's Tennis team has opened the 2019 season well with singles and doubles tournaments taking place at Ohio Wesleyan and Oberlin College. 

Thus far, the Blue Streaks have a team singles record of 34-22 (.607) and a doubles record of 16-9 (.640).

Leading the way on the singles court for JCU is Senior Gustavo Garcia with a team high five wins and a clean slate of zero losses. He now carries with him 33 career singles victories, the most on the team.

Junior Doug Moore and Senior Jack George have also played stellar singles matches as they carry 4-0 and 3-0 records, respectively.  Other members of the team with .500 or better winning percentages are; Adi Jha, Ram Kumar, Nathan Palinkas, Jack PayneAndrew Triner and Kevin Wacnik.

On the doubles court, the teams of Doug Moore/Andrew Triner and Jack George/Jack Payne lead the way for the Blue Streaks by amassing three wins each. Also, the team of Raj Kumar/Ram Kumar are a perfect 2-0 this season.

The rest of the Blue Streak teams of Mark Beebe/Andy Siciliano, Alvero Estrada/Gustavo Garcia, Adi Jha/Kevin Wacnik and Isaac Palinkas/Nathan Palinkas have all earned a winning percentage of .500 or better. 

John Carroll will compete next on Friday October 4th at the ITA Central Regional held at Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, MI.
