Box Score MAYFIELD, Ohio -- Beating the Blue Streaks in conference play is no easy task. And it's getting even more difficult.

The John Carroll University Men's Tennis Team settled right in at Mayfield Racket Club, as they defeated the Ohio Northern University Polar Bears, 7-2, on April 10. It had been nearly two years since the Blue and Gold had the opportunity to play in suburban Cleveland and in the doubles competition, JCU looked right at home.

John Carroll swept the Polar Bears with help from the pairs that featured Andy Siciliano and Mark Beebe (8-4), Adi Jha and Logan Langovsky (8-3) and Doug Moore and Andrew Triner (8-3).

Since April 15, 2019, the Blue Streaks have been undefeated in doubles play in the OAC, earning wins across the board in 18 consecutive matches. As a team, the Blue Streaks have won their last 33 against Ohio Athletic Conference opponents, which spans over the last five years. JCU improves to 3-0 on the season, their best start to the regular season campaign in at least the last decade.

The Blue Streaks have not lost to Ohio Northern since the first round of the OAC Tournament on April 30, 2014.

Beebe, Langovsky, Alvaro Estrada Rosabal and Triner each won their matches in the singles competition as well. As individuals, the quartet has yet to lose a singles match this season. Rosabal and Triner had to work extra hard for their victories, as they each captured a 7-5 win to go with a 6-2 win.

Beebe, who defeated ONU's Zach Beaschler (6-3, 6-1), has been the steady hand for the Blue Streaks, as he has won each of his last six matches as an individual dating back to March of 2019.

Lagovsky took care of business against Andrew Cochran, defeating the junior Polar Bear 6-3 in the first set and 6-2 in the second.

In his singles match, Jha went the distance against Matt Garcia and even won the second set 7-5 but Garcia got the better of the first and second set. Siciliano lost 6-1 and 6-4, respectively.

In exactly one week, the Blue Streaks will be back in action in Bexley for a matchup with Capital on April 17.
