The Blue Streaks are making a sixth straight NCAA appearance.
ROME, Ga. -- John Carroll University Men's Tennis begins its postseason journey first on Friday. The Blue Streaks are enjoying the warmer weather in Georgia after punching their ticket to the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championship.

The Blue Streaks open the NCAA tournament with a First Round matchup against Western Connecticut State University at 5:30 p.m.

The Blue Streaks stole a victory from Otterbein in the OAC championship bout, as Grant Sarnowski won a clutch singles triumph to push JCU to a 5-4 win. With it, 7-0 JCU pushed its way to NCAAs, which brought them to Peachtree Corners.

Shaun Keenan's squad will do battle with the Colonials of WestConn at Rome Tennis Center at Berry College. The huge facility boasts a multitude of courts. The Blue Streaks are no stranger to the big stage with a sixth straight appearance, but the Colonials will be making just their second NCAA appearance in program history, their first since 2010. WestConn captured the Little East Conference crown with a 5-4 conquest in the title game to punch its ticket.

The winner will move on to the Second Round to do battle with juggernaut Emory. The Eagles stand at 5-3 on the year. Emory won the 2019 National Championship, and have a lengthy history of success.
