Box Score ADA, OHIO – The John Carroll University women's tennis team completed the regular season with a perfect 7-0 record, after securing a 5-4 win over Ohio Northern.
The Blue Streaks began singles competition behind 2-1, but junior
Megan Reese made quick work at the top flight, defeating Ola Latala (6-0, 6-3) to tie up the match at 2-2. The Polar Bears went ahead with a win at No. 5, but JCU claimed the next three points at the No. 6, 2, and 3 flights to secure the victory.
Junior
Emily Day defeated Jordan Dodson at No. 6 in two sets, winning 6-1, 6-2. Senior
Alyssa Krupp followed suit at the second flight, also winning in two sets (6-2, 6-2).
Freshman
Mia Zivkovic locked in the victory at the No. 3 spot, after battling back from dropping the first set, 6-1. She came back to take the next two sets 6-1, 6-0 to upend ONU.
John Carroll returns to action on Friday, May 7 to compete in the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament at Lindner Tennis Courts.
