WILMINGTON, Ohio -- The regular season finale could not have gone much better for John Carroll Men's Swimming & Diving.

The road victory completes the regular season, as the team turns its attention to the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships in a few weeks.

"Today we focused on perfecting our race strategies going into the championship," said Head Coach Tanner Barton. "Times weren't of utmost importance, especially since Wilmington has a short course meter (SCM) and not a short course yard (SCY) pool."

The 200 Meter Medley Relay set the tone for the day for JCU, with a 1-2 punch to start. Jacob Clark, Austin Davis, River Flatley, and Westin Fishel worked in tandem for a time of 1:50.97. Luke Novak, Joseph Kaiser, Maximilian Campbell, and Michael Heller combined for a second-place time of 1:53.42.

The 800 Meter Free saw a 1-2-3 JCU sweep. Erik Sriubas fired to a winning time of 8:46.87. Andrew Chiappetta (9:25.01) and Aidan Hulseman (9:33.12) rolled to second and third places.

Fishel got a big win in the 200 Meter Free next. The senior clocked in at 2:00.81 for the victory. Novak notched third (2:02.66) and Ben Rancilio (2:07.24) tabbed fourth. The 50 Meter Backstroke saw a 1-2 win for JCU, thanks to Austin Davis (28.74) and Billy Harvey (30.98).

Adam Lenz's big day began in the 50 Meter Breaststroke. The senior fired off a first-place finish of 31.35. Kaiser followed in third at 33.01. The 100 Meter Fly went even better, with a 1-2-3 JCU finish courtesy of Flatley (59.24), Heller (1:02.41), and Max Campbell (1:02.67).

Lenz got back to his winning ways in the 50 Meter Free, capturing first place by nearly two seconds with a time of 24.27. Fishel tied for second with a time of 26.11.

Davis showed off his skills next in the 100 Meter Free, ripping through the pool for a time of 54.25. Harvey followed not far behind at 56.15 for second. In the 100 Meter Back next, Clark ensured JCU kept winning, with a top time of 1:01.46.

Lenz won yet again in the 100 Meter Breaststroke, with a clear margin of victory again. The Walsh Jesuit grad clocked in at 1:09.18.

Sriubas and Rancilio did the honors in the 400 Meter Free. Sriubas clocked in at 4:14.74, while Rancilio notched second in 4:30.08. The 50 Meter Fly followed with another win, this time by Flatley (26.75). Kaiser won the final individual event of the day, the 400 Meter IM, with a time of 5:11.97.

A conquest in the 200 Meter Free Relay ended the afternoon. Davis, Flatley, Fishel, and Lenz catapulted to a winning time of 1:39.35.

"I'm really pleased with how our men raced today," said Barton. "Erik Sriubas, Adam Lenz, Austin Davis and River Flatley touched first in multiple individual events. It's hard to ignore the depth we have in this program. "

John Carroll now will prep for the OAC Championships, beginning on Wednesday, February 16 with the 800 Free Relay.
