UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS -- The transition from Fall to Winter Sports is almost complete for John Carroll Athletics as the Blue Streak Cross Country teams are the only holdouts from the first season. The winter teams are getting into full swing with the start of this weekend.

Here is what's coming up this weekend:

Cross Country
The Cross Country teams continue their fall season as they head to the NCAA Division III National Championships on Saturday, November 19 to look to finish the season with both individual and team success.

Both squads won OAC Championships just three weeks ago and followed up with a sweep at the NCAA DIII Great Lakes Regional Championships to punch their tickets to the national meet.

Swimming & Diving
The JCU Swimming & Diving teams are at the Kenyon Total Performance Invitational from Thursday, November 17 to Saturday, November 19.

Both the Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams are coming off of two big wins since the start of their season, against Ohio Northern University and the University of Mount Union, as they remain undefeated in the OAC.

This weekend will be the first non-conference competition for both teams.

Men's Basketball
Looking to build on their success at the Kaulig Companies Tip-Off Classic, the Men's Basketball team will travel to Wheaton, IL for the Wheaton Tournament on Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19.

The Blue and Gold will play against the University of Wisconsin River Falls first on Friday at 5:00 p.m., before their second game on Saturday against a team and at a time TBA.

John Carroll is coming off of two resounding victories in the Tip-Off Tournament. In the season opener against Wittenberg University, the Blue Streaks earned a 94-72 victory before moving onto Ohio Wesleyan University on Sunday, when they defeated the Battling Bishops 70-55.

Men's Wrestling
The Men's Wrestling team is off to a hot start this season as they defeated rival Mount Union on Tuesday by a score of 31-15.

The Blue and Gold rolled with big wins throughout the match to defeat the Purple Raiders.

This weekend, the Blue Streaks will travel to Olivet, MI to compete in the Olivet Duals on Saturday, November 19, starting at 10:00 a.m.

Women's Basketball
Traveling to Albion, MI, the Women's Basketball team will face up against Albion College on Saturday, November 19.

The Blue and Gold had a great start to their season as they earned two home game victories in the Tip-Off Tournament last weekend.

Starting against Allegheny College on Friday night, the Blue Streaks won by a nail biting 67-64 against the Gators. Ensuring the same mistakes did not occur in their next game, John Carroll defeated Hiram College 79-63 on Saturday in the final game of the tournament.
