ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Following a couple of non-conference defeats, John Carroll Women's Tennis got back on track with a conference victory on Sunday.

In a matinee match with the University of Mount Union, the Blue Streaks prevailed, 9-0.

John Carroll advanced to 6-5 on the campaign, remaining unbeaten at 2-0 in Ohio Athletic Conference play.

Megan Reese and Mia Zivkovic got a good start at No. 1 doubles. The star duo combined for an 8-0 victory to help set the tone.

No. 2 doubles with Morgan Little and Caroline Chandler also went swimmingly. The combo locked down an 8-2 win. The No. 3 slot also saw success, with Emily Day and Peyton Crumpler doing the honors. The teammates tallied an 8-0 decision.

Reese rolled to her triumph at No. 1 singles. The senior snagged a 6-3, 6-0 win. Zivkovic followed suit at the No. 2 spot, firing to a 6-2, 6-0 conquest. At No. 3, Caroline Chandler continued her excellent year. The freshman phenom wrapped up a 6-2, 6-0 win.

Day kept the train rolling with a 6-0, 6-0 double bagel win at the No. 4 slot. Crumpler also stole the sweep at No. 5, earning her first OAC win, 6-0, 6-0. And finally, Emily Duckett did her part at No. 6 singles, as she notched a 6-3, 6-1 win.

The Blue Streaks now look ahead to next Saturday's match, which will mark the first at the Short Family Tennis Center. If the weather and schedule allow, the Blue Streaks will play for the first time on the brand-new courts in an OAC match vs. Marietta.
