UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- After making it all the way to the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship match, the Blue Streaks reined in plenty of conference honors.

A total of six John Carroll Men's Tennis players earned All-OAC recognition after a nice 2022 campaign.

Gustavo Garcia led the way, securing OAC Player of the Year honors. Mark Beebe and Logan Langovsky joined him on the All-OAC First Team. Grant Sarnowski tabbed Second Team honors. Nathan Palinkas and Kevin Wacnik snagged spots on the Honorable Mention list.

Gustavo Garcia returned this season to finish out his degree, and his return proved to be a boon for the Blue Streaks. All season long, the fifth-year senior occupied the top spot in the lineup. He almost always provided a win, and was flawless in OAC play. For the year, Garcia registered an 11-6 mark, including a perfect 5-0 against conference opponents. Garcia's honors are the fourth of his career, as he won Second Team honors in 2019 and First Team status in 2018 and 2017.

Mark Beebe came back for one last go-around, too, and his efforts anchored the Blue Streaks. Most often the No. 3 in the lineup, few could best Beebe. The Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin graduate forged a 12-6 overall record in singles, including a perfect 6-0 record vs. OAC foes. This is his second straight appearance on the All-OAC First Team.

Garcia and Beebe also formed a quite formidable No. 1 doubles combo. The veteran duo earned an 8-3 overall record, including 6-0 vs. OAC adversaries.

Logan Langovsky can count himself as an All-OAC First Teamer for the second straight season. The Green native became a big part of the lineup, often occupying the No. 2 singles role. The sophomore clinched a 9-6 overall record, 8-6 at No. 2. In doubles play, he was just as dynamic, with an 11-5 record.

Grant Sarnowski snags Second Team status after being an Honorable Mention player last year. The sophomore stood out at the No. 5 singles spot. For the year, the Springfield, Illinois native tallied an 8-6 singles record. In doubles play, he recorded a mark of 9-6, splitting time between No. 2 and No. 3.

Nathan Palinkas and Kevin Wacnik each make their first appearance on the All-OAC teams with Honorable Mention accolades. Palinkas finished the year with a 3-3 singles record, 2-1 in OAC play, and a 7-8 doubles record. Wacnik notched a 5-9 overall record, 3-1 in OAC play. He finished 6-8 in doubles play.
