Men's Swimming & Diving Earns Senior Day Win Over Wilmington

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- The John Carroll Men's Swimming & Diving Team celebrated their Senior Day at the Johnson Natatorium in style with a 163-42 win over Wilmington in their final dual meet of the season.
 
JCU also won each event they competed in.
 
Daniel Argalious, Hunter Cooper, Owen Holm, and Bryce Liddell were on the winning 200 medley relay with a time of 1:38.37 to kick off the meet.
 
Nick Mudry earned the gold in the 1000 freestyle (10:34.19), while freshman Joe Nadur won the 200 freestyle (1:46.33).
 
The Blue Streaks went 1-2-3 in the 50 freestyle with Argalious (21.23), Holm (22.08), and Patrick Branch (22.21), with Jonathan Simoes also coming away victorious in the 100 IM (55.73).
 
Holm (52.77), Nadur (53.30), and Mudry (58.58) each went 1-2-3 in the 100 butterfly, and Liam McDonnell (46.65), Branch (48.94), and Jonah Venos (49.68) did the same in the 100 freestyle.
 
Luke Novak (53.37), Aidan Hulseman (5:05.36), and McDonnell (1:00.63) all recorded wins in the 100 backstroke, 500 freestyle, and 100 breaststroke, respectfully, to close out the individual events.
 
The final event, the 200 freestyle relay, comprised of Jake Farr, Aidan O'Neill, McDonnell, and Venos won with a mark of 1:28.48.
 
Evan Anderson scored a 113.85 as the lone diver for JCU.
 
John Carroll will compete next at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships from February 15-February 18 at the University of Akron's Ocasek Natatorium.  The Blue Streaks are looking to win their seventh consecutive OAC crown.
