| By:
Caroline Beery was amongst the bevy of Blue Streaks to earn a PR.
It was a busy couple days for John Carroll Women's Track & Field.

The Blue Streaks traveled to Tiffin, Ohio on Friday & Saturday for the annual Tiffin Track Carnival; to Delaware, Ohio for the All-Ohio Championships at Ohio Wesleyan; and to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania for the Bison Outdoor Classic at Bucknell.

Here's how the Blue Streaks fared this weekend.

Tiffin Track Carnival (Friday)
JCU's 4x100 relay tallied its best mark of the outdoor season by timing in at 48.45. Taylor Anthony, Genevieve Arnold, Mia Scott, and Rosie Murray did the fine work in the event. Later on, Murray tabbed 12th in the 400m hurdles in 1:08.18.

In the 400m, Claire Eberhardt (1:01.55) led JCU's runners in a packed race. Massey Andrykovitch (1:02.93) also won her heat. In the 800m, Ellie Kitsmiller achieved a PR with a time of 2:16.48, tallying 11th place.

Annie Higgins tabbed an eighth-place finish in the 1500m, clocking in at 5:05.70. Cassie Klein followed closely behind at 5:07.83 for ninth.

On the distance side, Sarah Weldon looked outstanding. She shaved off 11 seconds in the 5000m from last week, clocking in at 18:33.17 for a new PR and eighth place. Katy Fellenstein finished sixth in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 11:55.65.

In the jumps, Emmy Bryan nabbed fifth in the high jump with a mark of 1.59m. Genevieve Arnold leaped to 10.89m in the triple jump for fourth, followed by Tori Miller at 10.71m in sixth.

Kelsey Dunn repped JCU in the throws, achieving sixth in the discus with a toss of 42.19m.

Tiffin Track Carnival (Saturday)
Caroline Beery was the story of the day for the Blue Streaks. The veteran hit a new PR in the pole vault, leaping to a mark of 3.59m. With Beery heating up down the stretch, that could spell great things for the Blue Streaks in conference competition.

Taylor Anthony and Mia Scott each finished in the top eight of the 100m. Anthony earned third with a time of 12.59, while Scott took eighth in 13.03.

Bison Outdoor Classic
Five Blue Streaks made the lengthy 4.5 hour trip to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania for Bucknell's Bison Outdoor Classic.

Abby Schroff and Amanda Keim ran together in the 5000m. Schroff finished in 20th with a time of 17:38.98, while Keim tallied 21st with a time of 17:40.37. It was a PR for Keim, while it was Schroff's first time finishing the outdoor 5k as a college runner.

Jen Massucci ran by herself in the 3000m Steeplechase and performed nicely, with a time of 11:21.87 for 25th.

Erica Esper raced late on Saturday evening, not finishing the 10,000m until 11:20 pm at Bucknell. The senior clocked in at 36:05.02, running a very nice PR under the lights.

All-Ohio Championships
A contingent of throwers journeyed to Ohio Wesleyan for the All-Ohio Championships.

While Kelsey Dunn didn't improve from her nice effort in the discus on Friday, she won the day on Saturday with a mark of 41.19m.

Brooklyn Beckford managed 13th in the shot put (10.44m), while Breanna Berwald checked in at 13th in the discus (33.61m).
