Mairin Dalziel has now won six career OAC Swimmer of the Week awards.
WESTERVILLE -- To complete the trifecta, Mairin Dalziel earned her third OAC Swimmer of the Week award this year, after a successful meet against Wilmington College.

The Royal Oak, Michigan native shined at two Ohio Athletic Conference meets over the weekend, helping John Carroll Women's Swimming & Diving finish undefeated in OAC duals in her sophomore campaign.

Dalziel won six events across two meets, helping the Blue Streaks take down the Quakers of Wilmington College by a score of 139-65 and the Yellow Jackets of Baldwin Wallace by a score of 171-70.

The second-year Streak showed excellent versatility during Friday's home win at Johnson Natatorium. Dalziel tallied two individual wins and one relay victory.

Dalziel won two very different events individually, conquering the competition in the 50 and 500 Free events with respective times of 24.47 and 5:22.49. She also led off the 400 Free Relay, which finished with a time of 3:50.28.

Racing three times in Wilmington, Dalziel finished 3-for-3 in winning her races.

The first race she participated in was the Women 200 Short Course Meter (SCM) Medley Relay. She won this race with a final time of 2:14.03 swimming with teammates Annamarie Habusta, Marina Sneyd, and Hannah Smith. Dalziel's individual time in the event was 35.77.

Race number two for Dalziel was Women 100 SCM Free. She won the event with a final time of 1:01.36. Dalziel also participated in the Women 200 SC Meter Freestyle Relay with teammates Olivia Goodman, Maria Armao, and Lauren Koppelmann. The team won the race with a time of 1:59.25 and Dalziel finished with an individual time of 27.33 in the event.

Dalziel's success continued from last season, as she earned her first three OAC Swimmer of the Week awards in her freshman campaign. The success rolls on, as she already has her third OAC Swimmer of the Week award in her sophomore year.

The red-hot Dalziel and Blue Streaks hope to continue their success, as John Carroll will race for the Ohio Athletic Conference title in Akron, Ohio at the Ocasek Natatorium on February 14-17.
