Women's Wrestling Conquered by Albion in Home Opener

John Carroll competed in front of a nice home crowd.

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS -- It was a tough opening night for John Carroll Women's Wrestling, as they looked outmatched to begin the season.

The Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center was not short of excitement for the home opener. Right from the start, you could feel the energy was in the building.

But John Carroll could not get anything going in the right direction for them.

After Albion won the first two matches by forfeit, the Britons then clean swept the Blue Streaks on 7 pins in a row. The Britons finished the night with another forfeit and they won the matchup 50-0.

The Blue Streaks will be back in action November 8 in Sylvania, Ohio, taking on Lourdes University.
