GREENSBORO, N.C. – The 2023-24 campaign has come to a close for John Carroll Men's Swimming & Diving.

The Blue Streaks wrapped up the season at the NCAA Division III Men's Swimming & Diving Championships this week at Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.

While the John Carroll relay and Forrest Campbell did not qualify for finals in their events (and thus didn't score any team points), it was still a successful weekend.

"I'm extremely proud of these gentlemen for qualifying for the NCAA Division III Championship," said Head Coach Tanner Barton. " Qualifying for this meet is no easy feat, and it continues to get faster each year."

Final Results

On Thursday morning, the action started for John Carroll in the 200 Yard Medley Relay. Campbell, Bart Kubis, Luke Novak, and Daniel Argalious took to the pool for the event, with Bryce Liddell watching after suffering an injury during the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships.

The JCU quartet unfortunately missed out on qualifying for finals. The Blue Streaks combined for a time of 1:30.42, which ranks 22nd in a packed field. A year ago, that time would have been enough to qualify for finals, but this year's pack was quite fast.

Forrest Campbell competed next in the 100 Yard Backstroke on Friday. The graduate student came oh-so-close to qualifying for finals, but just missed out by a half-second. With a time of 49.28, Campbell completed prelims in 18th place.

"Forrest really went after his 100 Backstroke, taking his race out in the first 50 faster than ever before," commented Barton.

The veteran returned to the pool on Saturday morning for the 100 Yard Backstroke, looking for a shot at competing in the finals. But the Solon native fell short, capping off his JCU career with a time of 45.78. His mark placed him 40th in the prelims.

"These four proudly represented John Carroll University while also making some incredible memories in Greensboro," said Barton.
