Women's Golf Wins Yellow Jacket Spring Invitational, First Program Victory Since 2011

The Blue Streaks ended the regular season with the team's first tournament win since April 2011. 
OTTAWA, Ohio – For the first time in nearly a decade and a half, John Carroll Women's Golf is in the winner's circle.

The Blue Streaks roared to conquer the competition at the two-day Yellow Jacket Spring Invitational hosted by Defiance College at Moose Landing Country Club in Ottawa, Ohio.

The victory marks the Blue Streaks' first tournament win since April 9, 2011 at the Wooster invitational (as researched by Noah Tylutki '21, '23G). 

RESULTS

The Blue Streaks can take pride in the win with strong efforts by a number of golfers, particularly the team's top scorer, Amanda Pancake, the tournament runner-up.

The junior stole the show for the Blue & Gold. The Columbus native compiled a two-day tally of 165, opening with an 82 and continuing with an 83 on Saturday. She finished second in the field, repping the Blue Streaks quite well.

Isabella Mineo was the next finisher for the Blue Streaks. The Kent Roosevelt grad played even-keeled the whole tournament, opening with a 91 and wrapping things up with a 90. Her total of 181 placed her 181 for the invitational. 

Jennifer Crowley finished just outside the top 10 for JCU. The two-sport star compiled a 89-98-187 to complete an 11th place finish. 

Anna Schramko was the final scorer for the Blue & Gold. The senior sports info star compiled a 95-95-190 to finish 12th in the field for JCU. 

After the fantastic tournament win, the Blue Streaks will now prep for the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships at River Greens in West Lafayette, Ohio from May 3-5.
