Claire Eberhardt Places 13th Overall In The 1500 Meter Run With A Time Of 4:35.75
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The women entered the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championships with poise and confidence as they approached the big stage.

Claire Eberhardt and Genevieve Arnold would kick off day one for the women in the 1500 meter prelim and the long jump.

Eberhardt would make her first ever national championship appearance in the 1500 meter prelim as she would place 13th overall in the race with a time of 4:35.75. It was an exciting year for Eberhardt as she would end her senior year with a 13th place finish at the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. She would earn Second-Team All-American homors in the event.

Arnold would make her first ever outdoor championship appearance in the long jump and place 10th overall with a mark of 5.64 meters, just missing the final. Arnold would end her long jump career on a high note, earning herself second-team All-American honors in her name.

Both seniors have performed well for the Blue Streaks and have posted strong efforts throughout the outdoor season.

Next up for the women will be junior Ellie Kitsmiller, who will compete in the 800 meter prelim tomorrow evening at 6:00 pm (ET) to round up the meet for the Blue Streaks.

If she advances to the final on Saturday, May 25, she will toe the line at 5:50 pm (ET).

The women will look to carry the momentum heading into the second day of the national championship meet.
