Breanna Berwald Secures NCAC Women's Field Athlete Of The Week After Posting Impressive Performances At Wooster Invitational This Past Saturday

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS – The senior out of Mentor, Ohio gets her first conference athlete of the week accolade for the first time in her career.

After earning two top 10 ranked performances in the North Coast Athletic Conference from this past Saturday's Wooster Invitational, Breanna Berwald secures NCAC Field Athlete of the Week.

Berwald competed in both the discus and hammer throw events at Wooster, where she earned a new personal best of 39.30 meters (128' 11") in the disc and threw a mark of 37.99 meters (124' 8") in the hammer.

She currently ranks third in the discus, while also being ninth in the hammer.

It was an impressive weekend for Breanna, helping to contribute to a second place team finish for the Blue Streaks in her first meet of the 2026 outdoor season.

Next up for the women's track & field program will be their first split squad weekend as they will travel to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania for the Bison Outdoor Classic at Bucknell University and the John Homon Invite at the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio on Friday-Saturday, April 10th-11th.
