Ellie Kitsmiller Places 22nd Overall In Her First NCAA Outdoor Championship Appearance In The 800 Meter Run
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The women returned for day two of the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships looking to gather stellar performances.

The Blue Streaks were coming off of two Second-Team All-American performances from Claire Eberhardt in the 1500 meter run and Genevieve Arnold in the long jump.

Arnold would return for her second meet of the weekend competing in the 100 meter dash prelim. She would place 10th overall with a new school record time of 11.89 seconds to earn another Second-Team All-American honor of the championship meet.

Genevieve would end her historic career for the Blue Streaks on a high note placing herself in the top 10 for both events of the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Championship meet.

Junior Ellie Kitsmiller would make her first outdoor championship appearance for the Blue Streaks in the 800 meter run in the third heat.

Kitsmiller would place 22nd overall with a time of 2:21.45 ending her junior campaign with a lot of growth and experience.

The Blue Streaks have concluded their outdoor season with a lot of promise and determination that they will be back better than ever for next year. With two female athletes qualifying in their first national championship meets, it truly shows how much the bar has been set. The future is bright for this program moving forward.
