Women's Golf Stands in a Tie for 4th After Day 2 of OAC Championships

The Blue Streaks are looking to earn the program's best OAC finish since 2018.
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio – The battle for fourth place is on for John Carroll Women's Golf.

The Blue Streaks are in pursuit of fourth place now, with the top three spots solidified above them. In looking to secure forth, John Carroll is in pursuit of the program's best finish since a third-place effort in 2018.

Following Day 2 of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships, the Blue Streaks are in good position to achieve just that. JCU (346-344-348-1038) is tied with Heidelberg (343-341-354-1038) and ahead of Muskingum and Capital by 51 strokes at River Greens Golf Course.

In the 72-hole format, just 18 holes remain for the conference's top golfers.

RESULTS

Amanda Pancake anchored the JCU lineup for the second straight day. The St. Charles alumna tallied a birdie on the par-3 No. 13 hole to open her day with a four-over par on her first nine holes. Round 3 started off well, too, with a birdie on the par-4 No. 2 hole. The junior cooled off some, but still notched an 86 for her third round. She's in tenth entering the final day.

Isabella Mineo continued to thrive for the Blue Streaks on the second day. The Kent native tied Pancake with an 81 (+9) in the second round. Thanks to solid, consistent play over the course of the day, the junior notched an 86. Leading into the final day, Mineo stands in a 12th place tie.

Anna Schramko shined for the Blue & Gold. The pride of JCU Sports Info finished the back nine with a seven-over-par to begin her day. The senior showed strong composure, nabbing an 88 for her third round of the tournament. The leader is a big part of why JCU is looking at a solid team score.

Jennifer Crowley opened up with a ten-over-par as she wrapped up her second round, and then found some consistency down the stretch. The junior from Michigan tied Schramko's 88 in the third round, moving some up the leaderboard.

One more round remains for the Blue Streaks on Sunday. JCU's first tee time is 9:48 am on Sunday.
