Blue Streaks Place Three Runners In The Top 20 To Earn Second Place Finish At Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble
OBERLIN, Ohio – The John Carroll University women's cross country team continued to show success, earning a strong second-place team finish at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble on Saturday.

In ideal fall racing conditions, the Blue Streaks totaled 90 points, finishing just behind Case Western Reserve University, who claimed the team title with 76 points. Centre College rounded out the top three with 129 points.

Leading the way for John Carroll was senior veteran Abby Schroff, who placed 13th overall with a time of 22:44.7. Close behind was Alyssa Vis, finishing 15th in 22:51.4.

Sam Goodnough continues to showcase her progression with a new personal best of 23:05.3, good for 18th place. Senior duo Cassie Klein (23:13.6) and Morgan Dobos (23:15.5) rounded out the scoring five, finishing 24th and 25th, respectively.

Adding depth to the Blue Streak lineup were sophomores Maddie Harrington (23:30.7) and Kylie Bennington (23:42.7), who finished 30th and 36th overall to complete the team's top seven.

As the team transitions into championship season, the Blue Streaks will continue to rely on their cohesive pack running that has driven their success all fall.

Next up, John Carroll will make its first ever NCAC Championship appearance on November 1st at Kenyon College. Meet information will be posted next week.
