Abby Schroff, Anne Rea, Morgan Dobos, & Kelsey Sheridan Earn All-Region Status In Fourth Place Effort At NCAA Regional Championships
LOUISVILLE, KY – In a battle from start to finish, the Blue Streaks stepped up against some of the best teams in not just the Great Lakes Region, but in Division III.

A fourth place effort  from JCU scoring 135 points resulted in four individuals earning USTFCCCA Great Lakes All-Region honors, placing themselves in the top 35.

Trine University secured the team title with a score of 58 points, placing five runners in the top 30. Placing second overall was Calvin with 91 points, followed by Hope College placing third overall with 122 points.

Final Results

Leading the way for the women in impressive fashion was senior Abby Schroff, who placed 10th overall with a time of 22:28.75. This is Schroff's third All-Region performance in her career.

Placing 15th overall and earning her first All-Region accolade was sophomore Anne Rea, who finished with a time of 22:36.97.

Following right behind Rea was senior Morgan Dobos placing 16th overall with a time of 22:37.55 to earn herself a spot on the All-Region team as well for the first time.

In her third race of the season, junior Kelsey Sheridan showed up and would also earn her first All-Region honor, finishing with a time of 23:06.50 to place 35th overall.

Rounding up the team scoring was Samantha Goodnough, placing 62nd overall with a time of 23:34.67.

Alyssa Vis (23:42.39) and Cassie Klein (23:46.43) finished 70th and 73rd for the team to help cement the top four finish.

All season long, the women have picked each other up and ran for one another. That was shown this weekend on a course they were very familiar with.

The Blue Streaks will now await to see if they will receive an at-large bid or have an individual qualify to the NCAA National Championships in Spartanburg, South Carolina on Saturday, November 22nd.

List of qualifiers and teams will be announced on Sunday, November 16th at 3:00 PM (ET) on NCAA.com.
