Women's Wrestling Rolls Past Heidelberg in Dual Debut

The Blue Streaks downed the Student Princes in the Berg's first home match

TIFFIN, Ohio – The Blue Streaks got to play the spoiler today.

Heidelberg University debuted its women's wrestling program in the first home dual for the Student Princes at the Seiberling Gymnasium after the team competed for the first time ever at JCU's Round Robin on Sunday.

While Heidelberg did tally a couple wins, John Carroll rolled in a 40-10 victory. JCU won three of the five competed matches.

Results

At 103, Taylor MacAdam recorded a first-period pin in 1:10, continuing a bright start to her first year at JCU. Emily Leeseberg then was pinned at 117.

After JCU lost via a pin at 145, the Blue Streaks arose for a pair of pins. Leslie Sullivan secured a pin in 2:51 at 160. For good measure, Olivia Beaulieu needed just 23 seconds to grab a pin at 180.

Addy Crane (110), Riley Duffey (124), Kaiden Boshers (131), Nora Mooney (138), and Kyra Nickerson (207) all raised their hands in forfeit wins.

The Blue Streaks will head up to Michigan this weekend. JCU will be at the Adrian Invitational on Sunday, November 9.
