Ava Ryncarz Achieves Third Team All-Region Honors via D3hoops.com

This marks Ryncarz's first career All-Region accolade

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS – After leading John Carroll to an impressive 19-7 record and an oHIO Athletic Conference Tournament appearance, Ava Ryncarz is receiving some well-deserved postseason recognition. 

The junior has been named to the D3hoops.com All-Region Third Team.

This is a bigtime honor for Ryncarz, marking her first All-Region award of her career.

This season, Ryncarz averaged a career high 16.7 points per game, which was second-highest in the OAC. The Aurora native also led the Blue Streaks with 7.3 rebounds per game, and finished with an impressive 88% free throw percentage. 

On February 15, during a 73-65 victory over the Capital Comets, Ryncarz scored her 1,000th career point in a Blue Streak uniform, becoming the 18th player in program history to do so.

Ryncarz was named the OAC Athlete of the Week twice this season, one of which came following a 30-point performance in a 27 point win over Suny Brockport.

In addition to her weekly OAC honors, Ryncarz was named First Team All-OAC for the first time in her career, following a Second Team selection for the 2023-24 season and an Honorable Mention in 2022-23.

After playing the best basketball of her career in the 2024-25 season, All-Region star Ava Ryncarz will look to lead the Blue Streaks into the NCAC in her senior campaign.
