Luke Frazier Crowned as Fourth NABC All-American in JCU Men's Basketball History

Frazier is the fourth John Carroll men’s basketball player to receive NABC All-American honors behind John Columbo, Corey Shontz and Luke Chicone

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS -- Luke Frazier has joined an exclusive club of John Carroll Men's Basketball student-athletes.

After already earning the Ohio Athletic Conference's Most Outstanding Player award, Frazier has been named to the NABC Division III All-America Second Team.

Frazier is only the fourth Blue Streak in program history to earn All-American honors from the NABC. He joins his teammate, Luke Chicone (2024), along with Corey Shontz (2012) and John Colombo (1983).

Frazier put up serious numbers in his senior season. The Mentor native averaged 17.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. He ranked fourth in the OAC in points per game and fifth in rebounds.

His presence on the defensive end was a big factor in his senior season. The Lake Catholic graduate notched 80 blocks in his career, placing him in another top 10 category in program history. His career average of nearly 1 block per game in his career ranks ninth in program history. Not to mention an increase in rebound from the season prior and his patented chase down blocks were a threat to other teams.
His career points per game average of just under 18 puts him in the top seven scorers to ever put on a JCU jersey. He did all this in just three years. Additionally, he was top 10 in points per game in his JCU career.

After being named a preseason All-American, Frazier played all season under high expectations. It's safe to say that Frazier delivered on those expectations and achieved one of the highest honors for any Division III student athlete. This cements Frazier as amongst the best to ever wear the Blue and Gold.

Editor's Note: Frazier and Chicone, both Mentor natives, are the first pair of teammates to be All-Americans.
