The sophomore star now has three OAC Offensive Athlete of the Week awards

WESTERVILLE — A Blue Streak is becoming pretty familiar with weekly awards.

The Ohio Athletic Conference awarded its offensive athlete of the week in men's lacrosse again to a Blue Streak.

Sophomore Breden Zarek wins the honor for the third time on the young 2025 season for his efforts in dominant victories over Heidelberg and Capital.

On Wednesday, the Blue Streaks took it to the Student Princes, defeating them 29-0 in Tiffin. Multiple players broke records in this game, but Zarek stood above the rest, breaking the single-game assist and points record with 11 and 15, respectively.

On Saturday, in a much closer game, Zarek tallied 5 goals and one assist in a narrow 17-13 victory over Capital to keep the Blue Streaks perfect in OAC play.

On the season, Zarek has accounted for 52 points, scoring 25 goals and dishing out 27 assists. Zarek stands tied for first in the conference in assists and third in points.

Zarek and the Blue Streaks return to action Wednesday at home against the Otterbein Cardinals.
