DECADE OF DOMINANCE: Blue Streaks Exit OAC with 10th Men's All-Sports Trophy in a Row

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – One final time, John Carroll University has conquered the Ohio Athletic Conference. 

For the 10th consecutive time, the Blue Streaks have won the 2024-25 OAC Tim Gleason Men's All-Sports Trophy. The Blue Streaks will be able to take their trophy on their way to the North Coast Athletic Conference, where they will start competing next school year. 

The culmination of the men's sports programs resulted in 89 points for the Blue Streaks, handily beating out rival Mount Union (85.75) points to retake the All-Sports Trophy. 

The John Carroll Women finished with 74.25 points and came in second only behind Ohio Northern, winning the school's fourth straight with 80.50 points. This marks JCU's second runner-up finish since 2021. JCU finished ahead of rivals Mount Union by 2.5 points and Baldwin Wallace by 12.75 points.

In the fall, Men's Cross Country led the way with 10 points after coming in first place at the OAC Championship. Football was the runner-up in OAC play and added 9 points. Men's Soccer chipped in 7.5 points, as well.

In the winter season, Men's Basketball stepped up and swept both the OAC Regular Season and Tournament Championship for the second consecutive season, resulting in 10 points. Swimming and Diving, in standard Blue Streak fashion, collected 6 points for dominating the OAC for the ninth straight season. Indoor Track added 7 points and Wrestling tallied 6 points towards the total. 

In the spring, Golf led the way with an OAC Championship and 9 points. Outdoor Track finished in third place to add 8 points to the total. Men's Lacrosse didn't win the OAC Championship for the first time in 8 seasons, but still put 7.25 points on the board. Baseball made the OAC Tournament and contributed 7.5 points, and Tennis added 2.25 of their own.
