Markello, Westmeyer, Gorun and Millspaugh Honored as All-OAC Team Members
In a season where John Carroll's Men Tennis team experienced a change of the guard with the departure of two First Team All-OAC members from last season, four Blue Streaks were honored with similar distinctions.

Anthony Markello has been named to the All-Ohio Athletic Conference First Team, Dylan Westmeyer has been selected for the All-OAC Second Team, while Phillip Gorun and Griffin Millspaugh have been chosen as Honorable Mentions.

Junior Anthony Markello finds himself back on the OAC First Team this season after landing there last season and the All-OAC Second Team in 2023. The captain had the distinction of taking over for #1 singles this season and held his own against the OAC's elite. Markello's season highlights included two wins in straight sets and taking down Will Horvath of Baldwin Wallace in conference play this season in comeback fashion, 7-5, 3-6, 1-0 (10-4).

Dylan Westmeyer, the other captain and the Blue Streaks' #2 singles player, finished with three wins on the season vs other #2 singles players. The graduate student exhibited gutsy play after comeback match wins against Lebanon Valley College and Grove City and defeated Andrew Cavett of Mount Union in straight sets in conference play.

Markello and Westmeyer combined for a 7-5 record on the season in doubles, as well.

Phillip Gorun and Griffin Millspaugh both split time between #3 and #4 ranked singles this season on their way to All-OAC Honorable Mention distinction.

Gorun went 4-2 in #4 singles play and 2-1 in conference play in the same class. The junior also chipped in two more wins in #3 doubles to finish as a member of an All-OA  team for the third time in his three seasons. Gorun also competed with multiple doubles partners all season, having two wins on the season with Jack Sigler.

Griffin Millspaugh finished with 6 wins on the season, and competed in the lion's share of conference matches at #3 ranked singles. The senior had a clutch win vs. Mount Union, and enjoyed a 4-match win streak from February 23-March 7 en route to repeating as All-OAC Honorable Mention. Millspaugh and his main doubles partner Luis Wentz won three matches on the season, while Millspaugh earned another doubles victory with Anthony Markello vs Baldwin Wallace.
