ALLIANCE, Ohio – John Carroll Men's Golf faced off with the age-old rival Purple Raiders this weekend, going toe for toe with the former conference rival.

The tournament victory is the second of the season for the Blue Streaks. As a team, JCU compiled a line of 292-292-584 to win by nine strokes over the host Purple Raiders.

Austin Malley guided the team in his second tournament of the campaign. The Venetia, Pennsylvania native opened with a fantastic one-under-par round on Saturday before finishing off with a par round of 72 on Sunday. For the weekend, his score of 143 (-1) ranked third in the field.

Justy VonLehmden, fresh off a tournament win, performed well this weekend. The Findlay native started off with a 73 (+1) before roaring for a 71 (-1) on Sunday. His weekend tally of 144 (E) set him at fourth.

London Hoyser excelled in a similar fashion. The junior kicked things off with a par round on Saturday, and then hit a one-over-par round of 73 on Day 2. The New Yorker's scorecard of 145 set him in fifth place.

Wade Boyle nabbed a 77 (+5) on Saturday and then provided JCU's final counting score on Sunday with a 76 (+4). Finally, Daniel Donahue contributed the final score 76 (+4) before finishing with an 83 on Sunday.
