Alyssa Vis Earns NCAC Athlete Of The Week For Her Mile Performance At The Leo Miller/Hayden Snow Meet Of Champions This Past Weekend
CLEVELAND – Coming out of the gate in her first race of the indoor season, the Perry, Ohio native impressed.

Alyssa Vis earns the Women's NCAC Mid/Distance Athlete of the Week after recording a second place finish in the mile at the Leo Miller/Hayden Snow Meet of Champions this past Saturday, January 24th.

Her time of 5:02.27 converts to a 4:59.31, which ranks her at 16th in Division III and first in the North Coast Athletic Conference with that time. Alyssa was just one second shy of breaking the indoor mile school record at JCU.

Vis improved upon her time of 5:05.15 from last year, where she became the OAC Runner-Up indoors in the mile and was named All-Conference.

She is picking up where she left off and is gaining a lot of momentum to begin her senior campaign as a Blue Streak.

Alyssa and the women's track & field team will return to competition this weekend for the Dr. Taraschke Team Challenge hosted by Baldwin Wallace University and the Penn State National Open at Penn State University this Friday-Saturday, January 30th-31st.
