Women's Cross Country Runs At Lehigh University's 62nd Paul Short Run

BETHLEHEM, PA. – The Blue Streaks traveled to the campus of Lehigh University this weekend for the 62nd Annual Paul Short Run.

The women's open 6k got things going in the morning, but due to the extreme heat and tough conditions, the afternoon races including the Women's College White 6k ended up being canceled.

The women's 6k open race was able to compete in the morning. The group was led by first-year Grace McDonald, who placed 245th with a time of 25:18.9, followed by Julianna Stein placing 282nd, clocking in at 26:03.1.

The third Blue Streak to cross the finish line was Alana Nowak, placing 299th with a time of 26:24.7. Mallory Chicone placed 313th, earning a time of 26:46.1.

The Blue Streaks will be back on Saturday, October 17th as they will travel to Oberlin College for the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble. The women's varsity race is slated for 10:30 AM. Meet information to follow that week.
