Women's Cross Country Places Second Overall At Bill Sudeck Invitational With 34 Points

HUNTING VALLEY, OH. – Cross country has arrived and the women's cross country team made their 2026 debut just 15 minutes down Fairmount.

The women competed this evening at the Bill Sudeck Invitational hosted by Case Western Reserve University at the Squire Valleevue and Valley Ridge Farms.

The Blue Streaks notched a second place finish with a total score of 34 points, highlighted by four runners placing in the top 10.

Individual & Team Results

Crossing the line first for the women was Kylie Bennington placing third overall with a time of 15:52.8, followed by Natalie Chryst placing fourth overall clocking in at 16:01.6.

Another junior who shined on the course was Meah Prutzman, who placed fifth overall, finishing with a time of 16:19.1.

First-year Riley Dempsey came in 10th place overall with a time of 17:46.3.

Alana Nowak (18:20.1) and Grace McDonald (18:33.5) rounded up the top six individuals for JCU placing 13th and 14th overall.

The women's cross country team will compete next at the Spartan Invite on Friday, September 11th at the Forest Akers Golf Course hosted by Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. Meet information to come next week.
