John Carroll Women's Wrestling enters its fourth year of competition with excitement ahead.

John Carroll Women's Wrestling is all grown up.

The program has now entered its fourth year, or its senior season, in 2026-27. As the team gets set to open the campaign on Sunday, November 1, the story of the team is its progression over the last few years.

There's a lot of excitement around this season for the Blue Streaks. A number of freshmen are joining the team as the program continues to expand at JCU, now with 28 athletes compared to the 12 on the team just four years ago.

Two members of the team who have been with the program since its inception and are ready to compete in their final year are Meghan Edwards and Gwyneth Edwards. From the beginning, the Edwards twins have been key leaders and provided stability. Always quick with a smile, the Edwards sisters have helped to establish a good culture in the program.

A number of sophomores are back for their second seasons with the team, as a strong, young core is in place for the Blue Streaks.

Taylor MacAdam is back at 103 pounds. She finished last season 26-14 and placed sixth last year at regionals. The star rookie was honored as an NWCA Scholar All-American.

Addy Crane finished fourth in qualifying for regionals and stood as a NWCA Scholar All-American. The Thornville, Ohio was just seconds away from a bid to Nationals a year ago. She finished last season 27-13 and is starting this season at 110 lbs.

Nora Mooney is back at 138. She won 17 matches by fall and placed sixth at NCAA regionals. She was honored with NWCA Scholar All-American and ended the season with a strong mark of 30-11.

A few other starters are back for the season including Roma LoGiuraro (124), Kaiden Boshers (131), Leslie Sullivan (145), and Bella Cyrkiel (160).

"We are excited about our depth and what that will provide for us in competition this season," says Head Coach Mark Hawald. "We have a competitive schedule that is going to be challenging and provide for our continued growth."

This will be the final season that Women's Wrestling divisions all compete together, as NCAA Division III will have their own championship in 2028.

John Carroll opens the season with the JCU Round Robin on Sunday, November 1 in the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center. JCU will welcome Heidelberg and Mount Union on Sunday, November 8 and then Elmira on November 21.

Additionally, the Blue Streaks will host the JCU Duals on November 22, AMCC Duals on December 5, and the JCU Open on January 24.
