Softball Slated Sixth in NCAC Preseason Coaches Poll

The Blue Streaks are looking to make an impact in the NCAC

CLEVELAND - The North Coast Athletic Conference released its annual coaches preseason poll for Softball. 

For the debut season in the NCAC, the Blue Streaks are slated as sixth out of eight teams, receiving 21 points in the process. 

DePauw University takes the number one spot in the poll, receiving six first place votes giving them a total of 48 points. The DePauw Tigers are looking to capture their third consecutive NCAC tournament title. 

Last season, as members of the Ohio Athletic Conference, the Blue Streaks had an overall record of 12-18, with a conference record of 4-11. JCU Softball is looking to improve their play in this new conference and are ready to begin. 

JCU Softball opens up their season on March 2 against New England College during their Spring Break trip to Cocoa Beach, FL. The Blue Streaks will open up conference play against Kenyon College on March 28 in Gambier.
