A busy weekend is on tap for JCU, including the home opening series for baseball

Happy Spring Break, Blue Streaks!

There's plenty of at-home and away athletics to keep up this weekend and some electrifying post-season games.

Men's Wrestling

For the first time ever, Men's Wrestling will be hosting the NCAA Regional Championships. With the new Athletic, Wellness & Event Center, JCU is able to set up a full competitive space and can host the 17 teams in Region V that will be competing throughout the weekend.

The competition will extend across Friday and Saturday beginning at 10 am for both days.

Baseball

Baseball will be holding a double-doubleheader this weekend, welcoming RIT and Mount Union to Schweickert Field. Coming off of a strong double win against the University of Mary Washington last weekend, the Blue Streaks are looking to keep the streak going.

On Friday, JCU will face RIT at 11 am before RIT and Mount Union play at 2 pm. The following Saturday, RIT and Mount Union will compete again at 11 am before JCU follows up with the final game against Mount Union at 2 pm.

Indoor Track & Field

With the indoor season coming to a close, the JCU Indoor Track and Field team will be traveling to Springfield to compete at Wittenberg University for the NCAC Indoor Championships.

Last weekend, Ben Herczog and Leah Fritsch held their own at the combined events. Both placed 5th overall in their respective groups, setting the bar high for the rest of the Blue Streaks to match this coming weekend.

There will be events Friday beginning at 12 pm and Saturday beginning at 10 am.

Women's Basketball

Following a huge win over #13 Ohio Wesleyan, the Blue Streaks will play for the third tournament championship in program history.

#3 seed JCU will face #4 seed DePauw in the title bout in Granville on Saturday at 3 pm. The Blue Streaks won both matchups in the regular season.

Men's Basketball

After their quarterfinal win against Oberlin College earlier this week, the Men's Basketball team is traveling to continue their NCAC Tournament journey. For the semifinal round, the Blue Streaks will be facing the #2 seed DePauw Tigers.

The teams have opposed twice this season, splitting the series one win each. With both previous games ending in close scores, this game will be one to watch.

The game is scheduled for 5 pm Friday night.

Women's Lacrosse

Looking to turn things around after a disappointing home opener with a win, the Women's Lacrosse team is on the road to Kentucky to face Centre College. With the Colonels also coming off of a loss, it'll be a hard-fought match for a well-earned win.

The game will be at 11 am ET / 10 am CT on Saturday.
