Weekend Preview: March 27-29, 2026

JCU Baseball host the NCAC opener at Schweickert Field on Sunday

With winter thawing away, JCU spring sports are back in action with some warm weather coming in.

Here is what to expect over this pleasant weekend.

Baseball
JCU Baseball is looking forward to beginning conference play on a high note. 

The Blue Streaks will host the Wabash College Little Giants at Schweickert Field for a doubleheader on Sunday with first pitch at 12 pm. This twinbill is the start of North Coast Athletic Conference play. 

The games will be livestreamed on John Carroll University Sports Network. 

Softball
The Blue Streaks are ready to get back in action after a few postponed and canceled matches due to weather. 

JCU Softball will start conference play by traveling to Gambier, Ohio to face the Kenyon College Owls for a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 1 pm. This is the start of NCAC play for the Blue Streaks. 

Men's Lacrosse
The Blue Streaks are looking to tally another conference win this weekend after a big win against Wabash College.

JCU Men's Lacrosse will travel to Granville, Ohio to face the Denison University Big Red on Saturday, facing off at 3 pm. 

Women's Tennis
JCU Women's Tennis is hoping to continue their 5-game win streak with another conference foe this weekend. 

The Blue Streaks will travel to Wooster to face the College of Wooster Fighting Scots on Sunday, with first serve at 2 pm. 

Men's Tennis
The Blue Streaks are hoping to acquire their first conference win this weekend.

JCU Men's Tennis will also travel to Wooster to face the College of Wooster Fighting Scots on Sunday, with first serve at 2 pm. 

Track and Field
The Blue Streaks are excited to begin the Outdoor Track and Field season after a successful Indoor Track and Field placement at the NCAA Championships. 

JCU Track and Field will travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to compete in the CMU Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Carnegie Mellon.
