NCAA Performance List

Most of this group has experience of competing on the national stage, which will be a huge benefit going into next weekend.

The lone competitor who will be making his debut at this level will be sophomore Sam Su

The Woodridge native has had an impressive indoor season for the Blue Streaks this year. He has earned three personal bests overall in events such as the mile, 3000, and 1000 meter runs.
At the 2026 NCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships at Wittenberg University, Sam was the individual champion in the mile with a time of 4:15.17. He also scored in the 3000 meter run.

He was also named NCAC Athlete of the Week after his performance in the mile with a time of 4:08.55, which was his fastest time of the year at the BU David Hemery Valentine Invite in Boston.

Sam will head into his first indoor national meet ranked 11th in the event.

Seniors Tyler Gast and Basheer Alramahi are no strangers to competing on the national stage. Gast will make his third appearance in his career, while Basheer will make his fourth.

This year's national championships will look different for Alramahi as he will be competing for the first time in his career in the 800 meter run. He sits at seventh in Division III with that time and will look to add to his historical resume, looking to earn his first All-American in the event.

Gast will also be making his first appearance individually in the 400 meter dash. His time of 47.57 seconds was run at the conference championships and puts him at 11th in the country.

Both Gast and Alramahi will also be competing in the men's 4x400 meter relay after not making it last year. They enter as the seventh best relay in Division III.

Another senior who adds to that talent and depth is senior Dustin Horner, who returns for the third time in his career competing on the men's 4x400 meter relay team.

Dustin has earned three Indoor All-American awards for his efforts on the relay in the last three years as a Blue Streak.

Lastly, junior Tony Tirado will be competing in the men's 4x400 meter relay in his first time competing on the national stage indoors. The men's 4x400 are the seventh-best relay going into this year's championships.

These five individuals will look to make more history for the program in Birmingham next weekend with lots of promise and excitement, competing against the very best athletes in Division III.

Meet information and schedule will be posted this evening, followed by a meet preview the day before the national championships.
