Weekend Preview: April 17-19, 2026

JCU Men's Lacrosse will celebrate Senior Day on Saturday

With the warm weather turning to rain, John Carroll's spring squads are gearing up to bring the heat this weekend.

Here is what to expect on this cooler weekend. 

Baseball
JCU Baseball is excited to continue NCAC play this weekend, with their doubleheader moved up to Friday due to the incoming weather on Saturday. 

The Blue Streaks are looking to continue their 5-game win streak this weekend with a double-header at Schweickert Field against the Wittenberg University Tigers on Friday, with first pitch at 1pm. The first game of the double-header is also Dollar Dog Day! 

The games will be streamed on John Carroll University Sports Network. 

Softball
The Blue Streaks are ready to get back in action with a busy slate after the Thursday games were postponed. 

JCU Softball will host Geneva College at Bracken Field for a double-header on Friday, with first pitch at 3:00pm. The Blue Streaks will travel to Wooster, OH to face The College of Wooster for an NCAC matchup with first pitch at 1pm on Tuesday, as Saturday's weather will not allow the play. 

The games in University Heights will be streamed on John Carroll University Sports Network. 

Men's Tennis
JCU Men's Tennis is looking forward to another packed weekend ahead, with two conference matchups waiting for them.

The Blue Streaks will first travel to Springfield to face the Wittenberg University Tigers on Saturday. In a quick turnaround, JCU Men's Tennis will travel to Crawfordsville, Indiana to face Wabash College on Sunday with first serve at 10 am. 

Women's Tennis
The Blue Streaks are ready for a big weekend ahead with two matches left before the NCAC Tournament. 

JCU Women's Tennis is on the road heading to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania first to face #8 Carnegie Mellon University in a non-conference match-up. The Blue Streaks will then head over to Springfield to face Wittenberg University on Saturday in their last NCAC regular season game. 

Men's Lacrosse
JCU Men's Lacrosse is ready for more action after an amazing win against DePauw last weekend in overtime. 

The Blue Streaks are celebrating Senior Day at Don Shula Stadium welcoming Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday, starting at 1 pm. 

Women's Lacrosse

The Blue Streaks are ready to get back on the winning side after a hard-fought match against Kenyon on Wednesday.

JCU Women's Lacrosse will travel to Springfield to face Wittenberg University on Saturday, with the first draw at 1 pm. 

Men's Golf
After a successful weekend in North Carolina and Alliance, JCU Men's Golf is gearing up for another exciting weekend ahead. 

The Blue Streaks will travel to Rochester, NY for the Fred Kravetz Invitational with action on Friday and Saturday. 

Women's Golf
JCU Women's Golf is looking forward to another successful weekend after securing third place at the Westminster College Golf Invitational last weekend.

The Blue Streaks will travel to Wooster to compete in the Wooster Invitational with action on Sunday and Monday. 

Track and Field
JCU Track and Field is gearing up for another split squad weekend. 

The Blue Streaks will travel down the road to Berea, OH to compete in the 56th Sparky Adams Invitational on Friday, with field events starting at 11 am and Saturday, with track and field events starting at 10am. 

Meanwhile, some of the squad will travel down to Atlanta, Georgia to compete in the Georgia Tech Invitational on Friday, with track events starting at 5pm, and Saturday, with track events starting at 12 pm.
