Women's Track & Field Competed At Ashland University This Weekend In Their Alumni Invite

ASHLAND, Ohio – The Blue Streaks closed out their regular season this weekend at the Ashland Alumni Invite.

A small group of athletes traveled to Ashland University and competed at the Dwight Schar Athletic Complex, earning a couple of personal bests.

Some of the most notable performances are posted below:

Anne Rea (1500 Meter Run): 4:46.01
Abby Schroff (1500 Meter Run): 4:46.39
Sydney Wingler (1500 Meter Run): 4:56.89
Rosie Murray (400 Meter Dash): 1:00.12
Maddie Harrington (5000 Meter Run): 18:56.85

The duo of Anne Rea (4:46.01) and Abby Schroff (4:46.39) placed second and third overall in the women's 1500 meter run.

Senior Sydney Wingler earned a new personal best of 4:56.89 in the 1500 as well.

Sophomore Maddie Harrington placed third overall in the women's 5000 meter run with her time of 18:56.85, just three seconds shy of tying her personal best in the event.

The team will now regroup and prepare for championship competition taking place next week.
