In the latest Pre-Championship Poll announced by the NCAC, the men and women will come into this weekend ranked third. The men earned 63 points, while the women collected 52 points with two first place votes.

To recap the NCAC Indoor Championships that took place in February at Wittenberg, the women were the highlight of the weekend, securing their first conference championship since 2021, scoring a total of 166 points. On the men's side, they placed third overall with 111 points, headlined by nine All-NCAC selections.

The men will look to bounce back and continue to rely on their leadership and experience that has helped them carry them over throughout the year.

Basheer Alramahi and Tyler Gast are the two seniors that will look to be major contributors. Both athletes will compete in the 400 and 200 meter dash preliminary rounds. Gast will also be running in the 4x100 meter relay.

Gast and Alramahi remain in top contention on the national rankings. Gast (47.03) is sixth, while Alramahi (47.25) is 13th in the 400 meter dash.

First year Lars Broberg is another athlete who has helped tremendously in the men's 4x400 meter relay, who ran 3:11.82 at the Georgia Tech Invitational a couple of weeks ago.

A sophomore who is coming off of a breakthrough from the indoor season is Sam Su as he will look to become a two-time individual conference champion. You can catch him in the 1500 and 5000 meter runs this weekend. Su is first in the 1500 with his time of 3:46.83.

In the field events, sophomore Julius Kimbrough is another name to watch out for. He was named the individual champion in the men's high jump and currently ranks second in the event at 2.00 meters.

Jordan Rodman adds to the depth on the field event side as he will compete in the men's triple jump. He comes in ranked fourth with a mark of 13.76 meters (45' 1.75").

The women's side brings a lot of promise heading into this year's outdoor championships.

Dakota Houston hopes to continue her success on both the track and field as she will be making appearances in the 100, 200, 4x100 meter relay, and the long jump. She currently ranks in the top 10 in both the 100 and 200 meter dash events in Division III.

Coming off of a historic indoor championship meet, Abby Schroff looks to put an exclamation point on her Blue Streak career at the outdoor championships.

Schroff was named the Distance Athlete of the Meet indoors after becoming a three-time individual champion. You can catch her in the 10000, 1500, and 5000 meter runs this weekend. Her time of 35:43.30 puts her at 19th in Division III currently.

In the field events, senior Leah Fritsch has had a huge outdoor season for herself. At the Bison Outdoor Classic, she broke the school record in the javelin throw with a mark of 42.78 meters (140' 4"). Her mark puts her at number one in the conference and 11th in Division III as she will look to become a huge contributor for the group.

Tori Miller and Aniela Balog have been integral pieces in the long jump and triple jump events throughout the year and will look to score some major points for the Blue Streaks.

From indoor to outdoor, both teams have made significant jumps not just on the conference level, but on the NCAA level as well.

Both groups are ready to take on their first NCAC Outdoor Conference Championships in program history.

The meet will begin tomorrow morning (Friday, May 1st) with the 10000 meter runs beginning at 9:00am and the field events to follow at 10:00am.

On Saturday, May 2nd, for day two, the field events will begin at 10:00am with the track events set to start at 2:30pm.
