Women’s Track & Field Earns Final Qualifying Marks At Last Chance Meets

ALLIANCE, Ohio & ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Blue Streaks traveled to a couple of last chance meets and made the most out of the opportunity. 

A small contingent traveled to Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois for the Midwest Twilight Final Qualifier, while another small group competed at the Mount Union Last Chance Meet. 

A relay and one individual have broken school records for the program and will now wait for final selections to be announced tomorrow for the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championships.

For the second consecutive week, sophomore Sandra King continues to raise the bar in the 400 meter dash as she breaks her own school record with a time of 56.01 seconds. Her time puts her at 29th in Division III. 

The women's 4x400 meter relay of Sandra King, Paige Munchick, Rosie Murray, & Dakota Houston ran their fastest time in the relay this season, breaking the outdoor school record by three seconds, clocking in at 3:46.67. This time puts them at 13th in Division III. 

Aya Alramahi (59.72) and Aniela Balog (11.10 meters) both earned personal bests in their respective events as well. Alramahi placed 13th overall in the 400 meter dash, while Balog earned a third place finish in the triple jump.

The women's track & field program will now wait for final selections to be made tomorrow (Friday, May 15th) for the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in LaCrosse, Wisconsin next Thursday-Saturday, May 21st-23rd.
