Men’s Track & Field Honored With All-Academic Awards From USTFCCCA

Eight Student-Athletes Were Awarded USTFCCCA All-Academics This Past Monday
NEW ORLEANS – This past Monday, July 20th, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its All-Academic awards from the 2025-2026 seasons.

John Carroll was well-represented with eight student-athletes earning All-Academic achievements, as well as earning All-Academic team status from the year. 

To earn USTFCCCA All-Academic, a program must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.10. For student-athletes, you must earn a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher.

Athletically, you must have met at least one of the following: finishing the season in the top 50 on the descending order lists on TFRRS, participated at the Indoor or Outdoor Championships, competed as a member of the top-35 relay teams listed on the indoor lists on TFRRS, participated on a relay at the Indoor or Outdoor National Championships, or any competing relay team member on an expanded descending order list.

Representing the men's track & field program who earned All-Academic include Basheer Alramahi (Biology), Jack Arnold (Accounting), Tyler Gast (Business Administration), Max Grillo (Exercise Science), Finn O'Neill (Political Science), Sam Su (Finance), Tony Tirado (Clinical Psychology), Chris Whiting (Accounting).

The men tied with Wabash College for the most All-Academic achievements with eight. 

Just last week, both Alramahi and Gast were honored for winning College Sports Communicators First-Team Academic All-American awards for the men.
