Brooke Turner enters her eighth season as an assistant coach for the John Carroll volleyball team in the 2025-26 school year. Additionally, she begins her first year as a Faculty Athletics Representative at JCU.
Turner holds an assistant professor position in the Exercise Science, Physical Education, and Sports Studies Program at John Carroll. She is a professor beloved by her many students.Â

Prior to John Carroll, Turner served as the head volleyball coach at Washington & Jefferson College for five seasons, guiding six players to 13 All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) honors. She also led the Presidents to the PAC Championship Tournament for three consecutive seasons (2014-16), which included the program’s first trip to the semifinals for the first time since 2009 in 2016.

Turner also had a four-season head coaching stint from 2007-11 at West Liberty University, an NCAA Division II institution. Â Â

A 2004 graduate, Turner earned her bachelor's degree and M.B.A. from Wheeling Jesuit University, where she was a four-year member of the volleyball team. During her senior season (2003), she named the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player.

Turner also earned her Ph.D. in instructional management and leadership from Robert Morris University in 2015.
