Laura Sudo (#15) hammers home of her 11 kills in JCU's victory over Baldwin-Wallace
John Carroll made quick work of Baldwin-Wallace Tuesday night at the DeCarlo Varsity Center, needing just 65 minutes to deliver a three-game sweep in an Ohio Athletic Conference volleyball match between the two Cleveland area rivals.

John Carroll played a scintillating first game in which it recorded 16 kills and a .379 hitting percentage for a 25-11 win. The Blue Streaks matched that score in game two as well.
Game three was the one most closely contested. Ahead comfortably in the early going, JCU led by just two points at 19-17 when head coach Cally Plummer called her only timeout of the match. the Blue Streaks responded by winning the final six points of the game and closed out the match with a 25-17 triumph.
Laura Sudo (Pittsburgh, PA, North Allegheny) and
Kerry Fox (Western Springs, IL, Lyons Township) each had 11 kills and
Jessica Hammer (Moreland Hills, OH, Gilmour Academy) had four aces for John Carroll, which improved to 9-12 and evened its OAC slate at 1-1.
Baldwin-Wallace was paced by 15 digs from Alex Gbur in dropping its 12th straight match and slipping to 3-18 overall and 0-2 in league action.
