Samantha Thompson played her way on to the 2010 Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Central Region Third Team
Senior Samantha Thompson capped off her 2010 softball season as well as her career with the top honor she has received to date.
The Blue Streaks' shortstop and pitcher was selected to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Central Region Team. Selected for this honor for the first time, Thompson was tabbed to the all-region third team.
In helping John Carroll to a 26-15 record and an Ohio Athletic Conference tournament title, Thompson batted .360 with 11 doubles and five home runs among her 45 hits. She also collected 35 RBI in 41 games played.
As a pitcher, Thompson was 11-6 with 63 strikeouts and a 3.76 ERA.
Thomspon was voted second team All-Ohio Athletic Conference as well as third team all-region in 2010.
